Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old

This is something we should all read at least once a week!

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of the local newspaper "The Plain Dealer", Cleveland, Ohio.

"To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I've ever written."

My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:

1. Life isn't fair, but it's still good.

2.. When in doubt, just take the next small step.

3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.

4. Your job won't take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.

5. Pay off your credit cards every month..

6. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

7. Cry with someone. It's more healing than crying alone.

8. It's OK to get angry with God. He can take it.

9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.

10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.

11. Make peace with your past so it won't screw up the present.

12. It's OK to let your children see you cry.

13. Don't compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.

14.. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn't be in it.

15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye.

16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.

17. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful.

18. Whatever doesn't kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It's never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.

20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don't take no for an answer.

21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don't save it for a special occasion. Today is special..

22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.

23. Be eccentric now. Don't wait for old age to wear purple.

24. The most important sex organ is the brain.

25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.

26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words 'In five years, will this matter?'

27. Always choose life.

28. Forgive everyone everything.

29. What other people think of you is none of your business.

30. Time heals almost everything. Give time time.

31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.

32. Don't take yourself so seriously. No one else does.

33. Believe in miracles.

34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn't do.

35. Don't audit life. Show up and make the most of it now.

36. Growing old beats the alternative -- dying young.

37. Your children get only one childhood.

38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.

39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.

40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else's, we'd grab ours back.

41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.

42. The best is yet to come.

43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.

44. Yield.

45. Life isn't tied with a bow, but it's still a gift.

another 365days of suffering........................

.. doctor say ive another 1year to go...
F*.. what the hell did i do in my past to deserve this suffering...

i wish i could be strong...
but its just 2 much...
maybe i should start to meditate...
maybe god ask me to see myself away from being with my body...
go on a destiny of a detachment..
detachment with peace of mind...
detachment away from life desire...
detachment from ALL DESIRE.
reminding me of suffering and death ...
reminding me of cycle of life...

i wish i would understand which path i should follow...

shall i try to be a monk? maybe i can detach myself from my suffering...
god.. why use this way to enlighten me?....
isnt there any better way?....

Chinese Food Cart

Reminding myself:

Dietary imbalances or extremes will negatively effect the organs and the qi. An excessively stimulating diet, for example, will stimulate body processes, triggering infinite variations of inflamation, fever, hyperactivity, or hormonal abnormalities.

Such patterns appear as fevers, sweats, insomnia, hyperthyroid, inflamatory skin conditions, etc,. These conditions will be worsened by over-consumption of foods considered "hot", stimulating, or yang in nature. Overstimulated people may benefit from foods that are considered "cool", "calming", or "yin".

Conversely, those who have cold, or "yang deficient" conditions such as low blood pressure, hypersomnia, sciatica, hypothyroid, Hashimoto's complex, etc., may do better with a more stimulating (yang) diet.

Keep in mind, when altering your diet, that moderation rules. Changes are most sustainable when they are introduced gradually.

Going online via nokia e71 through 3G!

I've been trying out blueman bluetooth with the 3G dial up and learned that its very instable. So i decided to switch to the usb cable which came with my phone.

I've stumble upon some blog talking about how to connect to their 3G provider.
I've reconfigured the configuration to suit maxis 3G setting.

1st:
Install wvdial: sudo apt-get install wvdial
2nd:
edit /etc/wvdial.conf
with the code below:

[Dialer Defaults]
Phone =
Username =
Password =
New PPPD = yes

[nokia]
Baud = 3600000
Dial Command = ATDT
Init2 = AT &F E0 V1 &D2 &S0 &C1 S0=0 +CGDCONT=1,"IP","","",0,0
Phone = *99#
Username = maxis
Password = 123
Stupid Mode = 1
Auto DNS = 1
New PPPD = yes

[Dialer nokia-usb]
Inherits=nokia
Modem=/dev/ttyACM0
Modem Type = USB Modem

3rd, to dial,
wvdial nokia-usb

tada! done.

god, where r u ?

Hm... i stumble upon an advise where i learned it the hard way, and so did my colleague who did learned it the hard way too..
"when you are waiting/hoping for someone to accomplish a goal for you, the best person in the end is always you"

its very true when the person is not part of the team.
often we need to find this type of person before we encounter those project/problem, but if we didnt have him/her/them at disparate moment, that person would be "yourself".

So here goes, "god, where r u?"
he is right there, "you!"
If you need help, u ask for him/her.
God is within you. He/she will listen to your every prayers and request. But you will have to take action and work towards your dream.

I asked for help, and my friend hong lead me to my saviour. So now, i would do the same as Hong, i shall be god's hand to spread the news to everyone about this cure.

me...

I was previously in deep trouble with my eczema problem.
I've given up hope and finally go for the blood suction treatment found by a japanese doctor who took 26years to discover the truth.
He discovered that almost all skin diseases are caused by toxin in the body, which is trying to come out of the body by our natural detoxification of our body.
But since they cant just come out of the skin, it is therefore piling up under the skin causing our immune system to flare up and fight with the toxin under the skin.
What i went through wasn't something easy for me.
I've written a blog about my condition, and i'm trying to enlighten everyone about this finding.
Are you still doubting this method? It took him 26 years to research and to discover this cure.
Thank god and thank you so much to Doctor Tsai to find the cure....
AND, thank you so much to Doctor Robert to bring this medication method to Malaysia.
I'm grateful that i found my friend Hong who recommended me to Doctor Robert.

Many thanks to my girl friend: Annie Yeoh, and my parent for being there to support me.
I would like to apologise also to Annie Yeoh, and my parent and brother for being grumpy to them.

cheese recommended by hunch.com

Leipäjuusto

Leipäjuusto (lit. 'bread cheese') or juustoleipä, which is also known in English as Finnish squeaky cheese, is a fresh cheese traditionally made from cow's beestings, rich milk from a cow that has recently calved. Reindeer or even goat milk can also be used. Commercially available versions are typically made from regular milk and they lack some colour and flavour because of this. The cheese originally comes from Ostrobothnia, Northern Finland and Kainuu.

The milk is curdled and set to ...

------------------------------------

Gruyère

Gruyère is a hard yellow cheese made from cow's milk, named after the town of Gruyères in Switzerland. Gruyère is sweet but slightly salty, with a flavor that varies widely with age. It is often described as creamy and nutty when young, becoming with age more assertive, earthy, and complex. When fully aged (five months to a year) it tends to have small holes and cracks which impart a slightly grainy mouthfeel.

------------------------------------------------------

Gouda, Winchester

Winchester Gouda is a farmhouse-style American Gouda made by Valerie and David Thomas in Winchester, California, from the raw milk of their own herd of Holstein cows. Aged over 12 months, this hard, brittle cheese has a sharp flavor with balanced sweet and salty tones. Winchester Gouda is delicious by itself or grated over pasta - try it in place of cheddar in your next grilled cheese sandwich. Pair this cheese with Zinfandel.

FlaxSeed oil for vegetarian

There are a lot of vegetarian people who does not take balanced omega-3, and 6 in their daily diet. I would recommend flaxseed oil, the best food to take to replace this missing nutrient. It has more omega-3,6 than fish oils and rapeseed. It would be nice to add this oil into soup or salad before consumption, and careful not to cook them.

Flaxseed oil

I found flax seed oil @ jusco :D
Its about MYR49 per bottle :)

But instead, i went to vitacare pharmacy and spent 2 much ><
It was situated at lower ground over at garden midvalley.

I bought a Olivenol liquid, with Rin enzyme and a omega-3+6+9 oil. Cost me nearly MYR 500 >< ugh.. broke broke :(

I belief its my body lacking of omega-3 & 6 which is causing my eczema to flare up...

Hopefully, i will see better days very soon :)

1u is overwhelmed...

Dont we think that 1u is overwhelmed with huge crowds? I think they need to further expand their parking lot instead of putting up privilege onecard to annoy non members...

eczema nutrient deficiency?

wow, i found a website with lots of information...
thank you so much Shirley :)

http://www.shirleys-wellness-cafe.com/eczema.htm

it is stated there that mostly eczema patient is lacking of omega-3 and omega-6 nutrient in their blood (incl me, i guess).
so i've to consume more of this type of nutrient food.

According to a website:
http://www.omega-3.se/en/food.html

Type of oil Omega-3 Omega-6 Monounsaturated fat Saturated fat
Flaxseed oil 57 16 18 9
Rapeseed oil 10 22 62 6
Soybean oil 7 54 24 15
Walnut oil 5 51 28 16
Olive oil (extra virgin) 1 8 77 14
Corn oil 1 61 25 13
Peanut oil 0 33 49 18
Safflower oil 0 77 13 10
Sesame oil 0 41 46 13
Sunflower oil 0 69 20 11

So, anyone know where i can find FlaxSeed oil???
Greatly appreciate man :)

arranged marriage for india citizen, esp. pakistan

i've talked to several Pakistani in my company, and i realised that, the man and woman of india, especially Pakistani will always wait for arranged marriage from their parent. they will never ever married someone else other than recommendation from their parent. Therefore, most of the girls they go with will not be their wife in the end bcox of their culture tradition in india. They are forbid from marrying anyone outside of their family circle of relations.

So, if you ever think of dating a Pakistani or indian from india, think twice... ;)

The Law of Universe

Don't you all realise?
We are all being "Deceived".
We are all living in a box.
Indeed, a "Game" Box, alike a "XBOX" or some game machine.

Heaven & Hell "exists" bcox of this game.
We have been pre-installed with God game in mind.
Its all installed in "our Genes!".

What are they? Desires:
- to eat good food
- to love someone
- to like pretty things
- to avoid ugly things
- to need someone in life
- to be "good"
- to have sex
- to care or being cared for
- to enjoy

and along comes:
- greed
- anger
- need to gain power
- need to gain money
- jealousy
- hater

in which, ALL THE ABOVE "IS" THE "GAME";
in which, without you noticing: ITS THE GOD TO MAKE US CONTINUE THE "GAME":

For me, i'm not sure how many persons in this world is happy with overall of their life.
But i've got feeling that.. thanks to god "initial" intention to make the game, has definitely gone "Bad".
I think there are like > 80% of the peoples in the world aren't "HAPPY" in the "GAME".
How do i know?
Example:
if you try to be nice and friendly with 100persons in the world. And you realised that only < 20% will be friendly and nice back to you, then you "GOT YOUR FIGURE, ETC 80%".

I'am not sure "WHY GOD" make this "Game".
Maybe he is 2 bored with "nothingness"...
So he make things up... but.. nothing can exists without equal balance...
which is what "ying & yang" from the taosm meant.
- Girl n guy
- black n white
- pretty n ugly
- lucky n unlucky ones
- happy n sad
- sunny and darkness

to spark up good things, there are a balanced bad things.

If overall > 70% of the world population "feel unhappy",
then Isn't its time for "GOD" to press on the "BIG RED STOP BUTTON" to turn back everything into "NOTHINGNESS"?

What is your "INTENTION" god?
Why?

What is "Nothingness"?
- no living things
- no earth
- no soul
- no heaven
- no hell
- no devil
- no god?

So you will say, is it good to be "nothingness"?
Well, @ least there aren't any pain or happiness..
Judge for yourself...
My answer: i'm not sure.

sickness and situation...

a lot of people didn't realise eczema was a serious disease...
just did few days, my eczema flare up again..
i was feeling so depressed...
i felt as if how nice if i'm no longer need to deal with life again...

till the night, i went for treatment, my body was so much better...
the feeling of depression has gone...
but it still borders me, i'm afraid if it ever comes again...

why exabytes sucks!

keeping it simple and short (KISS)
- stupid voice machine, interval of 7 seconds asking for on hold press
- a lot of time waited > 15minutes, having every 5-7 seconds pressing the * to on hold
- sometimes email reply take > 2 hours to response
- stupid DOS (denial of service) prevention: Why? login in via webmail / outlook with > 3 times attempt fail, ur ip will be black listed forever! Oh GOSH!
- penang phone number! if u r calling from kl, having 15minutes of on hold with 5-7 seconds pressing "*", u will understand what i meant
- if u cancel an account by accidental (even 1 day gap), and u ask them to reactivate, *CHACHING*! CHARGE U RM 100
- Email Alias / Group -> DISABLED! You can't create group to send to everyone in your list...
- CPU Processing limited. If you have > 100mails a day for your business, *Siren*, they will call you up to get a Virtual Server!
- FTP With bandwidth throttle... if you download / upload over their quota, ur ftp / connection will start to lag or stop responding
- .eml rejected! if you are using thunderbird and would like to forward mail, good luck my friend... you will need it...
- (more to come, if i face anymore...)

Wow!
Try this:
Go to google, type:
Exabytes sucks!
http://www.google.com.my/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=com.ubuntu%3Aen-US%3Aunofficial&hs=QGS&q=exabytes+sucks&btnG=Search&meta=
Look at the number of results! it goes on and on..damn...
Should have had look at this before deciding.......

feeling slightly depressed :(

mm.. i'm still feeling the pain...
things happen in a blitz!

u make me lost my confident in love...
i felt that love is so fragile... 1 small matter became a big issue...
no, i'm not talking about that your "so called small matter"

i'm talking about "giving in"...
did u do this for the sake of truth from ur heart?
or u r doing this bcox of ur dad?

-the end-

yes, i admit that i'm not a forgiving person.

but i can't really forgive someone who doesn't apologise for their mistake...
no matter how much u show your care, it does not help..

no doubt, u r one of the most caring person...
i'm a direct person. if who did mistake, who apologise.
a lot of time you do something without realising.
you raise ur voice, u change ur tone... which provoke me to be sarcastic...
bcox i don't have the patient to deal with u when i think i didnt did the wrong thing...

yes, i have bad temper, but so do you.
you are easily provoked to raise your voice, did u ever thing about it?
my argument with people was simple.
argue in reasoning. but you argue by raising voice, thats not fair.
i can be patient if i think twice that if i ever do any mistake.
but that day, u were 2 much.

i didnt realise u like to add "give in" in all our argument.
did you ever think why i never give in? if you didnt start those argument, i won't be so angry @ u .

anyway, i hope your decision of no saying sorry won't be regretted. And i hope that i won't regret my decision of not "giving in" this time.

if you mention about the vacation (waterfall), i was in terrible shape. it was the same to you when you have your "p" and your back pain. most of the time i keep quiet when u start to think negative and talk about negative stuff. i understand. your back is in pain, thats why i never argue back. Did you ever think about this? Why did you forgot to calculate this???

i do worry alot about your back issue. even bring u to hospital. why can't you see this?

i don't like to tham ppl when i'm not wrong. please.. if everytime u r wrong and i've to tham... you will never change. do you ever think about this???

good day and good bye...

why such ego?.

Why?
i don't wish to c u cry.....
i don't wish to hurt u ......

but why did you start it??????
easy for u to say its small matter.
ITS BIG MATTER TO ME!

just say sorry and things could clear up!
WHY CAN'T YOU APOLOGISE???
Do you really want to end it this way???????????

Our relation is in your hand.
If you value me, the key is in your hand.

The seek for eczema cure continues...

Hmm, my previous talk about eczema cure didnt turn out well.
i turn out to go back to the master tole in jalan sultan ismail, wisma promet 4th floor for help...

but it turn out to be less effective now, my eczema worsen, and i couldn't sleep @ night..
my finger keep scratching all night long, which my mind flying around sleep without peace...

since the master tole seems to charge a hefty price for his herbs, i've decided to go for alternative herbs purchase. coincidently, i walk over to a store same row as the vegetarian shop in kinrara.
There, i meet up with Master Foo, who owned a shop selling herbs and without noticing, he is also a chinese doctor.
While packing the medicine recipe for me, he casually asked me who was the medicine for...
So, i told him my story...

He gently give a light press below my "ibu jari" mother thumb, it seems to be pain!
it seems that a normal person does not have pain over there. He then gently press on my tummy using about 2 fingers, and i realise the pain. My friend told me that my hand and tummy was quite hard, not soft like a normal person. Master Foo told me it was "air" inside my body, causing the itch on my skin... and i talked to my self, mmm finally someone alternative i can seek help on..

Then, cny came... i was still suffering from sleepless night...
on the 8th of cny, i finally meet up with Master Foo again, and he give me some accupuncture treatment on my tummy and my back... whoa.. it was light pain, and sound came out from my skin, it was as gas flies out of my skin through the needle...
i felt the relaxing feeling. My tummy starts to feel softer, plus my "ibu jari" seems to be soften, and no longer hurts..
he gave me some medicine, and i could sleep better, but still itch... much lesser than before.
i boiled some medicine and followed the medicine for 2 days...

finally today, 4th feb, i went for 2nd treatment. My thumb finger below seems to hurt a bit again... and my hand seems to feel pain when he twist my wrist.
after some accupuncture treatment on my tummy, back, i finally had 2 needle on each hand.. and i can almost feel instance relief and less itch. Then he twist my hand, and this time, it was much less pain!.. wow...
i wish this is what i was looking for over 7years of eczema suffering.
Since this treatment, i've started to wear cloth to sleep. Master Foo ask me not to drink any non-boiled water, and try not to catch cold.

I wish that this treatment is finally working for me. And he only charge about rm 40+ for the treatment. Master Tole used to charge me rm 80+ for accupuncture and rm 16/pack /day of herbs... which could lead to rm 190+ for 1 week... :(

i will update on my condition soon :)

ubuntu so far so good :)

Wow, didnt realise it has been almost 1year and 1 month running 99% of my work stuff on ubuntu.

I could do almost all of my work programming on it.
With the help of wine, i could run most of the software right off within linux itself.

My list of software / games ran successfully on ubuntu via wine:
  • ms office word, powerpoint and excel 2003
  • macromedia dreamweaver 8 and macromedia flash 8
  • fallout 1 and fallout 2 , yeah!
Mmm my most used application are:
  • Eclipse for linux 0 pdt with subclipse, yeah!
  • Mysql 5, apache2, php5
  • Firefox 3, Opera
  • Evolution, but prefer thunderbird for imap
  • amsn
  • deluge-torrent
  • Skype
  • MySql Administrator
  • Filezilla
  • Pidgin
  • Meld - comparing file
  • GIMP - mm still prefer adobe photoshop
  • OpenOffice - it sucks on m$ formated docs
  • Gnumeric - fast worksheet program
  • Brasero CD Burner
  • VLC
  • MPlayer - for DVD and CD
  • PostgreSQL
  • PGAdminIII

Hm.. on my slower laptop, XFCE Windows Manager Rox!
It runs like a charm. Its almost like the speed of windows 98 on a todays machine... awsome!

But on my new office laptop, compiz rox! the 3d cube gives the "feel good" :D

But, if you want to play game on a compiz enabled desktop, you got to disable it before you play those 3D game. Or else, things can be pretty ugly :(
It also has similar issue with some java installer. The gui can be pretty screwed :X
